The weekend festivities began on Friday evening in the lobby of the Cabrillo Hilton where guests assembled the hotel lobby and the Santa Rosa Room.
Attendees were treated to memorable schoolday oldies played by
The McGuires, a band comprised of classmate Barbara and her husband, Max.
This touring band had a great sound and was truly excellent. Incidentally, Max's class reunion was scheduled for the same weekend as our 45 reunion!
Fortunately, he decided to attend Barbara's reunion.
The McGuires! Excellent tunes throughout the evening. Joined by Mindy for a song or two. Set closer: Class song Stairway to Heaven!
Senior Sweaters!
Several classmates brought senior yearbooks!
Thank you, Barbara!
Saturday, July 21:Class Reunion at the Cabrillo Hilton, Madeo Room, San Pedro
Classmates registered and received
Name Badges with their Yearbook Photos. A no host cocktail
Marina Patio Reception ensued where
attendees socialized until they were directed to the Madeo Room.
Classmates were presented with a wide range of class decorations and options designed to evoke memories and spur conversation.
The Madeo Room banquet tables were replete with
Centerpieces and
Placemats that depicted old San Pedro Postcards.
Memorial slides were played at two locations to elicit fond memories.
A
Photo Booth provided photo opportunities with the Pirate and included humorous props.
The
Raffle Table was filled with valuable booty available to lucky winners. The Raffle included a 50/50 drawing to initiate funding for the 50 Year reunion.
Classmate Gus Navarro won the 50/50 and donated his winnings back to the class!
A
social hour followed by a buffet dinner with dessert table and coffee allowed classmates to continue reconnecting and catching up with each other.
The fantastic band
Soul Shot then played while many grooved to the tunes on the dance floor.
Darlene thanked and recognized the 45 Year Reunion Committee members and those classmates who assisted our effort.
Chuck thanked the committee and those who traveled long distances to attend, especially Edith who ventured from Norway.
Chuck also regaled us with humorous comments about certain members of our class provided by past class teachers and administrators.
Arrr, Mateys! The
Photo Booth!
Terry and the Pirate...
A few guests from other classes attended our reunion. Most notable was Julie Ardaiz (class of 1975), on your right with Kelly, who was invited to represent her brother, Mark, who
sadly passed away a few years ago. Several classmates were able to relay their memories and stories about her brother for which she was truly thankful.
The 45 Year Class Reunion Committee would like to provide special recognition thank our special assistants for their selfless service:
Caitlin, daughter of Terry Bass Canavan,
Elisabeth, daughter of Noel Tamburovich Vuoso, and
Kathleen, daughter of Nancy Bowen Budar.
The reunion would not have been as successful without their help. Elisabeth and Kathleen have helped at several of our past reunions,
are honorary members of our class.
Thank you to the
Reunion Committee which was instrumental to the success of the 45 Year Reunion. Each member brought his or her
special skill and talent to make
the 45 Year Reunion an extraordinary and memorable event. In this photo - 'Get it together peeps!'
The events that transpired during the evening allowed classmates to take home great memories of the event and
their classmates, old school experiences and lifelong friends. This 45 reunion was a fun, entertaining, and memorable
celebration. As we weigh anchor, unfurl our sails, and sail forth, hope to see you at the 50 Year Reunion.

A casual gathering in the Santa Rosa Room at 7PM - Midnight which included a screening of Hollywood
Movies and TV shows from our school years as well as yearbook and other photos provided a quiet setting
for Ke-Alien classmates to meet, get
reacquanted, catch up on events and reminisce. Refreshments helped make this informal
gathering a success. The party spilled out to the hallway, lounge and bar area where the revelry
continued into the wee hours.

while
flashbulbs popped,
cameras rolled, old memories rekindled and new memories were made.
A
sumptuous buffet with bar was available allowing the guests to indulge their appetites, scarf, pardy hardy and enhance
their experience of the evening.

totally awesome gifts.
The silver screen was evident during the course of this
major release soiree allowing memories to revitalize,
friends to reconnect and new acquantances to be made.
The
dudes were handsome, hip and cool, the
chicks were elegant, glamorous and beautiful while the night was high and out of sight.
The events that transpired during the night allowed guests to take home
great memories not only of the gala affair but
of their classmates, old school experiences and
lifelong friends. This reunion was a fun, entertaining and memorable
celebration where the song phrase
'In My Life I've Loved You More' was paramount.
The silver screen will never be the same as we move on in life, but this one
spectacular night allowed us take a step out of time and walk down
memory lane
to recollect, to chill, meet up with old classmates and simply enjoy to the max.
Thanks to all those classmates and their guests who attended and helped to make the reunion weekend a far out success. Keep
on truckin' and see you in 2018 where the
